Dear Directors of High School students in New York!
Do you know a current high school junior or senior who is considering a career in choral conducting? They should apply for a scholarship to the NextDirection Choral Leadership Conference, taking place this summer! NYACDA is pleased to support up to three scholarships for students to attend this wonderful conference.Â
Where: Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin
When: June 27-30, 2018
Who: High school juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for student scholarship through NYACDA.Â
What: The high school students will explore conducting and rehearsing, leadership in the choral classroom, life as a music major, vocal health, varied genres of choral music, technology resources, how to choose the right school, and what it means to be a choral leader. Edith Copley is the headline conductor. More info can be found here: https://acda.org/ACDA/NextDirection.aspx
Cost: If awarded a scholarship, materials, room, and board are covered. Students and their families need to cover their transportation to and from the conference.
How: Fill out the attached form and return it to president@nyacda.org by April 4. Accepted applicants will be notified April 20, 2018.
