New York Choral Director of the Year
This award is for members who have:
- Ten or more years of conducting experience
- Established high performance and literature standards
- Promotion of choral music in their community
- Consistent ACDA membership
- Attends and supports ACDA functions and statewide activities
- Contributes to ACDA through work in district, state, regional or national conventions, committees, etc.

Outstanding Young Choral Director of the Year
This award is for conductors who have:
- Ten or fewer years of conduction experience
- Established high performance and literature standards
- Promotion of choral music in the community
- Consistent ACDA membership
