These two awards seek to honor excellence in New York choral music. Please consider taking a few minutes and nominating someone who has elevated the choral music in New York State.

New York Choral Director of the Year

This award is for members who have:

  • Ten or more years of conducting experience
  • Established high performance and literature standards
  • Promotion of choral music in their community
  • Consistent ACDA membership
  • Attends and supports ACDA functions and statewide activities
  • Contributes to ACDA through work in district, state, regional or national conventions, committees, etc.

Outstanding Young Choral Director of the Year

This award is for conductors who have:

  • Ten or fewer years of conduction experience
  • Established high performance and literature standards
  • Promotion of choral music in the community
  • Consistent ACDA membership
  • Attends and supports ACDA functions and state-wide activities
